Travel from Kargil to Leh on the confirmed open road. Keep any intermediate stops brief and prioritise reaching your accommodation. Begin a full 48-hour rest period on arrival in Leh before scheduling sightseeing or higher-altitude travel; the next two days may need to be adjusted around the actual arrival time.

Continue the arrival rest period at your Leh accommodation. Count 48 hours from the actual arrival time, rather than treating the second calendar day as permission to start sightseeing. Do not add monastery tours or a motorcycle familiarisation ride today. Discuss any concerns promptly with appropriate local medical support.
